I am currently an Open-Oxford-Cambridge Doctoral Fellow, awaiting Viva Voce. My PhD research has been an exploration of how human and salmon construct one another in the cospecies relationship, particularly within the contested spaces of contemporary aquaculture systems.
I am an active member of civil society andregularly engage both scholars and policymakers, both as UK Policy Manager at World Animal Protection, and director of Articora, a thinktank focusing on food systems policy.
I am also a theatre-maker and socially engaged artist, looking for creative and innovative ways to engage the public on environmental issues. I currently have several performances in repetoire, each of which tackles the question: How do we create revolutions of the spirit, for social and environmental change?
My interests include animal studies, religious studies, social geographies, organic farming, permaculture, outdoor sport, and creative approaches to ecological communication.
